Alexander Technique
Alexander Technique is a powerful postural re-education method, aiming to make the student aware of harmful postural habits and teaching how to eliminate them. It improves physical and psychological confidence and wellbeing. Our Alexander Technique teacher, Christina Llavina focuses on eliminating the root causes of functional weaknesses manifesting while walking, bending, sitting etc.- enabling proper co-ordination, balance, ease and freedom of movement to be restored. Alexander Technique is great for preventing RSI and other work related injuries and is the perfect partner of massage as it prevents problems from re-occurring.
Pilates Classes
Pilates is a complete exercise system designed to give you strength, flexibility and correct body alignment. Central to this technique is the development of powerful abdominals and core muscles which helps to prevent/ correct poor posture and back pain. Originally developed for dancers with injuries, Pilates is a gentle exercise form that manages to be effective without being strenuous.
Yoga Classes
Yoga increases your strength, stamina and flexibility. It tackles bad posture by realigning the musculo-skeletal system, resulting in lower occurrence of RSI and other work related injuries. Through attention to the breath Yoga also works on relaxing the mind, and therefore leads to a decrease in stress. Essentially, it is a physical form of meditation. Yoga boosts the circulation and the immune system. t2b offers both group classes in Yoga and 1:1 tuition.
Nutrition
Eating on the move, convenience meals, poor quality produce and a lack of variation in our food choices can lead to a low intake of vitamins and minerals causing ill-health and reduced energy levels. Also, high levels of stress present in modern lifestyles inspire over reliance on stimulants (alcohol, nicotine, caffeine),further depleting the body of its required nutrients. Targeting the causes of your bio-chemical imbalances and deficiencies, our own nutritionist Rachel Bailey can teach you how to alleviate symptoms and restore good health through balancing diet and lifestyle. Nutritional Therapy helps improve natural energy levels and boosts wellness and productivity.
Personal Fitness Training
Indoors and outdoors personal training sessions are available. Whatever your goal: from weight loss to improving your performance for a sporting event, our highly qualified and experienced personal trainers are there to guide you through that process and help you succeed.
Group Fitness Training
We run a variety of group fitness classes such as Power Circuit, Boxercise and Cardio Rehab, whether your office has an on site gym or a just a meeting room large enough to contain a group of sweaty people. Banish the 5 pm fatigue - get your body moving for an easy management of those energy lows!
Reflexology
Reflexology is a foot massage that is based on the theory that every organ and system of the body has a corresponding reflex point or zone in the feet. For example on the ball of the foot underneath the big toe there is a pressure point that relates to the thyroid and parathyroid glands. The t2b reflexologist uses soothing strokes and light pressure to massage each of the points in the toes, feet and ankles to release tension, remove energy blockages, break up and flush deposits of calcium and uric acid and stimulate the circulatory system to promote healing of both the body and mind. This fully clothed, seated massage is well suited to any working environment.
